Hi all,

I am trying to turn on SSH via the web GUI on IPCOP 1.4.18. When I goto https://192.168.1.1:445 it asks me to login. I do that with my admin/password combo.

I then go into any settings page (SSH Access or GUI settings) and try and set things, click save, but it doesnt keep any of my changes, the page just refreshes with the same settings. It does the same if I log in under https://ipcop:445.

Is there a way I can turn on ssh via the prompt on the ipcop box? Apart from this annoying niggle, it seems to be working!

Also, whilst i am here, is this the right command to use from my kubuntu prompt to ssh into the ipcop box?

Code:
ssh -p 222 root@192.168.1.1

I have ssh -V installed in kubuntu

Code:
OpenSSH_4.6p1 Debian-5ubuntu0.5, OpenSSL 0.9.8e 23 Feb 2007

nevermind, logged into xubuntu with a different user account i had on there, worked a treat. Something is up with my usual user firefox profile. Have successfully enabled SSH and the command to use is correct as in my previous post.

Wow - I'd missed that thread completely. Does 1.4.18 still require/use referer headers?

Took me some searching too Image

Probably worthwhile to include in the FAQ.

FWIW:
in FF open about:config, search for network.http.sendRefererHeader and modify to 1 (or 2 which is default)
in Opera go Tools->Preferences->Network and tick "Enable referrer logging"

Yes.

Bit tricky to find, but there is an entry in the log: "Invalid referer: doesn't match servername!"
