This site seems to be getting quiet lately. Any views on if this is due to people moving to the sourceforge lists or perhaps because IPCop 1.3 is an ageing product?

I think the way the home page works now is different. Does it just show the latest recent post in a topic, rather than all of them? Something has changed anyway.

That would certainly help make it appear there were less postings. Or maybe everyone has taken a really early Christmas Holiday :)

I am optimistic: posting activity has declined just because IPCop works fine! All the major issues have been discussed here...

Also Addon Server was producing loads of traffic but now it is out there and fairly stable (unless people know otherwise) and has its own dev forum that has taken lots of postings away as well.

I suspect once 1.4.0 is released proper the posting will picking up as people get to grips with it.

I believe that now that IPCop 1.3 has been available for several months and stabilized, there is now quite a rich knowledge base on the product. There shouldn't be the need to keep asking about SNORT stopping, etc. It's all there.

When 1.4 becomes official, I guarantee that there will be a significant increase in postings...

I have been a member of the 1.3 forum since it was released and it has gone from about 5 posts per day to more than 25 posts per day..
The member list has more than doubled too..

I tend to agree with most of these post. Now that the Add-Ons have there own forum (which isn't very lively), and a mailing list, we see less request for support over here. Also, as other people have noted, most of the common questions have been answered. Finialy, with a larger user based as registered users here, I see a number of questions answered before I get on-line.

I'll still work on the FAQ, and will up-date it as more info for 1.4 becomes available. Hopefully, with everything going in the right direction, this forum will be for the most imposing of problems, and a way for us to learn more about the systems.
