I have Windows Server 2003, with Active Directory and the name is mydomain.ca. There are 3 users, like this:

dave.mydomain.ca
sue.mydomain.ca
roger.mydomain.ca

The problem I am having is that I cannot access http://www.mydomain.ca from the workstations that are inside my Active Directory.

Is there a setting that I can use on IPCop that will allow connections to my external website that shares the same name as my Active Directory? Thank you.

If you are looking to connect to the server, just add a host entry to point to the server.

Thanks for the tip suggesting that I should set up a host entry to point to the server. That sounds like what I need to do, but I just don't know the settings to do it. Is this complicated to do? Can you point me to an example?

If only someone would document all those pesky instructions....

Or if there was a way to search the forum, maybe someone else had those same problems ...

Since you are using active directory, you could also create a static entry for www in your AD's DNS.

Thanks d_j_h, now I just have to figure out how to add a static entry as you have suggested.
