How do I browse network shares over a VPN?

Network neighborhood will not work over a VPN (due to its non-routable nature). To access a network share over a VPN, you can:

1. To connect via Hostname

         \\Hostname_of_server\Share_Name

   • Use the Host File on IPCOP (see 1.3.3)
   • Use the Host File on your local computer
   • Use a WINS server
2. To connect via IP address

         \\IP.Address.of.Server\Share_name

   • No changes needed
